This policy explains how the DriverWing platform collects, uses and protects personal data. It applies to:

• The web admin panel used by owners, managers, supervisors, cashiers and call-center staff.
• The Android driver app (Google Play ID: com.driverwing.app).
• This website, driverwing.com.

By using any of these services you acknowledge that you have read this policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the services.

DriverWing is provided to businesses (such as restaurants, stores and delivery companies) that use it to run their branches and drivers. Therefore:

• The company you work with is responsible for the data of its drivers, staff and customers, and decides how it is used.
• DriverWing is the service provider that processes this data on the company’s behalf and under its instructions, solely to operate the platform.
• For this website and for messages sent to us directly, DriverWing is the responsible party.

We collect only what is needed to run and manage delivery operations:

Location is at the heart of the service, so we explain its use precisely:

• When? Location is collected only while a shift is open or a trip is active, and it stops automatically when the shift is closed.
• How often? Roughly one point every 3 seconds while working.
• In the background: once you grant “Allow all the time” location permission, tracking continues during the shift even with the screen off or the app in the background, and Android shows a notification while it runs.
• Offline: if the connection drops, points are stored on the phone temporarily and sent as soon as it returns.
• Preventing manipulation: location data is also used to detect manipulation attempts, keeping dispatch and incentives fair.

Location data is used to assign orders, show drivers on the live map, compute trip duration and route, raise branch-zone alerts and review trips when needed.

• Running the platform: creating orders, assigning them by fair rotation and following trips to delivery.
• Managing work: shifts, breaks, leave, reports and ratings.
• Calculating incentives and deductions according to the company’s policy, which management can review and adjust.
• Sending notifications: new orders, messages from management and replies to leave requests.
• Security, fraud prevention and account protection.
• Technical support, fixing issues and improving performance.

You can revoke any permission at any time from your phone settings, but revoking location prevents opening a shift and receiving orders.

We do not sell data or share it for commercial purposes. We rely only on a small number of service providers for specific functions, and send them as little data as possible:

• Google notification service (Firebase): to deliver notifications to the driver’s phone.
• Map and routing services: to display maps and calculate routes and distances, without sending names or phone numbers.
• Google Maps app: when the driver chooses to navigate to the customer.
• Hosting provider: to run the company’s server and store its data securely.

We may disclose data where required by law or upon an official request from a competent authority. Google services are subject to Google’s own privacy policy.

When a company’s contract ends, it can obtain a copy of its data and then request its permanent deletion from the server.

• All communication between the app and the server is encrypted.
• Passwords are protected with encryption and are never stored as readable text.
• Role-based access: each user sees only what belongs to their branch and role.
• Measures to protect accounts against unauthorized access.
• An independent database for each company on its own server.

No system is 100% secure, but we continuously work to protect data and will notify affected companies without delay if a security incident affects their data.

Under applicable laws, including Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020, you have the right to:

• Access your data and obtain a copy of it.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data or account.
• Object to, or ask us to restrict, certain processing.
• Withdraw permission consents at any time.

DriverWing is intended for businesses and their staff and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age, and we delete it if we become aware of it.

driverwing.com uses no cookies, analytics or tracking tools. Your browser stores only two preferences locally — language and light/dark mode — and they are never sent to us. If you email us, we use your message only to reply to you.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date, and notify companies of material changes before they apply.
